NICHOLAS V. CHEN
Nick Chen is a Partner of the Pamir Law Group. His practice
focuses on delivering success to clients by providing (i)
strategic insights and (ii) implementing practical solutions in
international corporate and commercial transactions with
emphasis on Asia and Greater China. He has been traveling and
working in China for over 30 years.
His practice integrates traditional legal counsel activities
with practical business advice including financing, tax and
long-term planning and structuring for management and CXO teams
and control groups.
He accelerates the "velocity of money" by bridging the financial
money centers (private equity funds, banks, venture community,
insurance wrap, capital markets) with the manufacturing bases of
Asia in the globalization and localization process.
Mainland China transactions include: strategic market entry and
market expansion activities including tax planning, direct
investments involving joint ventures, wholly-owned subsidiaries,
contract manufacturing, sourcing and export-processing
activities, technology transfer and licensing, distribution and
franchising, mergers and acquisitions, non-administrative anti-
counterfeiting programs (including criminal prosecutions, law
reform, lobbying), aircraft leasing and financing, and
litigation and arbitration enforcement matters.
Taiwan transactions include the full range of inbound and
outbound transactions, including joint ventures, mergers and
acquisitions, venture capital, telecommunication, media, IT and
biotechnology deals. His practice includes: leveraged buyouts;
intellectual property protection; international trade matters,
including antidumping and related cases; international
arbitration; competitive bid government procurement and contract
matters (nuclear and electrical power, telecommunications,
environmental and transportation) banking and finance and
securities.
