Ms. Madsen's law practice concentrates on business immigration, serving companies transferring foreign staff to the United States, as well as US companies seeking to hire foreign individuals. She represents clients in matters involving the US Immigration and Naturalization Service, the US Department of Labor, and the US consulates abroad. Business immigration laws and regulations are highly complex, and US employers and foreign citizens must satisfy stringent requirements before foreign individuals are permitted to work in the United States. Foreign companies establishing businesses in the US often plan to send foreign managers and technicians to the US, either for brief trips or for longer periods of time. It is critical to address immigration requirements so that the foreign individuals have proper employment authorization and status in the US.
